Set to ash.
May 16, 2014

She was a small creature,
so divine, so lost as I found her,
so lost myself.
She was dripping gold,
and dressed so simple.
And without a way
she danced upon her path with grace,
flicking her elegant hand while she whirled.
The smoothness of her every movement drew me closer,
I wanted to capture her,
harness her,
such beauty and power.
She has knowledge and secrets by the mouthful,
behind those rosy-pink lips.
She was sensuous,
even prior to seeing me,
she was naturally so,
painfully so,
I know now.
I sought to bottle her up and yet
she released me.
She unspun me,
unleashed me,
and then set me to ashes,
to cool in her shadow.
